Putzmeister America, Inc. Develops STOP STIK™ Concrete Release Coating
Sturtevant, Wisconsin (October 10, 2006) -- Concrete on the hopper and splatter on the machine is a normal part of the concrete pumping process. Removing it can be labor intensive and time consuming. Putzmeister America, Inc. is introducing a product to save time and money on site while protecting equipment.
STOP STIK™ is an advanced spray-on solution that makes cleanup quicker and easier, getting workers home or to the next site faster. This new product is ideal for most Putzmeister equipment, including truck-mounted concrete boom pumps, large line trailer pumps, Thom-Katts® and mortar machines.
“STOP STIK forms a barrier between equipment and cementitious material,” says Putzmeister Parts Manager Dennis Kueffler. “Users can simply spray STOP STIK on the surfaces they want to protect and they’re ready to go. When it’s time for cleanup, a power washer quickly rinses the concrete away.”
Convenient 11 oz. aerosol cans of STOP STIK are available in six- and twelve-packs. The product can also be purchased in one- and five-gallon bulk liquid packages for application with a pump sprayer. It should be reapplied periodically between jobs for continued protection and easy cleaning.
“We spent considerable time in the development of STOP STIK,” continues Kueffler. “It is remarkable in its ability to coat and protect surfaces prone to contact with concrete. We see many opportunities for the formula in the future.”
A patented product, Putzmeister STOP STIK is made and packaged in the USA by J2 Solutions WWD, Inc. It will be available through authorized Putzmeister distributors throughout North America and samples are available upon request.
