CIFA USA Introduces to the Untied States the Newly Engineered K48 XRZ
Yorkville, Wisconsin (October 6, 2006) -- CIFA USA introduces the newly developed K48 XRZ. The 5 section “R-Z” boom truck comes from field experience of the popular K47 model.
The new K48 brings several improvements with weight distribution, stabilization and set-up area as the main features.
The 5 section K48 XRZ truck-mounted boom pump provides maximum flexibility and maneuverability for the ever changing conditions an operator can face on a daily basis at a job site.
Some of the upgrades to the K48 XRZ truck-mounted boom pump include:
Redesigned Boom
- The boom length has been increased from 47 meters to 48 meters
- The boom pipeline consists of medium and long radius elbows which help extend the lifetime of the wear parts. Also, the elbows are interchangeable, which decreases the number of spare parts stock required
- The solutions introduced have made it possible to move the center of gravity, increase the boom length, and better distribute the weight
“RZ” Boom Configuration
- The 5th section allows the operator to pump closer to the cabin as well as closer to a high rise building
- The “RZ” boom configuration allows the articulated joints to never or hardly ever reach the critical area where the cylinders have to operate on rod side with less available power
- The “RZ” configuration reduces the amount of time and the number of difficult maneuvers an operator must realize in order to reach the concrete slab pumping over obstacles
New Turret Configuration
- The sub-frame of the turret has been designed to separate the front extensions from the rear jacks which allows shortening the outriggers. Also, the turret has been placed closer to the truck cabin in order to accommodate for better weight distribution between the front and rear axles.
Stabilization
- By shortening the outriggers, the footprint to setup the area has been reduced while maintaining a firm stabilization
- Butt-welding was increased on the outriggers in order to reduce weight and increase sturdiness to maintain high stabilization
Accessories and Components
- The New aluminum casing reduces weight and increases resistance to corrosion
- The front and rear outriggers have been illuminated by adding lights in order to increase safety when operating in dark conditions
- The water pump has been relocated to allow for easier assembly and maintenance in cold weather conditions
- The new hydraulic fluid system exchanger improves oil cooling and reduces the risk of oil contamination and high oil temperatures
Pump
- Front support for the pumping unit was increase to avoid any excess stress on seals and rod guides
All the above upgrades where made to accommodate the United Sates weight standards as well as the requirements of our consumers and the job field.
The release of the newly engineered K48 boom will allow operators to increase the machine performance on the jobsites as well as the lifetime of wear parts and reduce maintenance costs.
