Putzmeister Introduces 43Z-Meter Concrete Pump
Sturtevant, Wisconsin (January 10, 2006) -- At this year’s World of Concrete, Putzmeister America unveils a new truck-mounted concrete boom pump – the 43Z-Meter. Strategically positioned in size between the 40Z- and 47Z-Meter, the new model joins the growing number of popular Z-boom models within the company’s product range.
The 43Z combines a 138' 5" vertical reach and five boom sections in a versatile Z-folding configuration. The additional boom articulation provides maneuverability on congested job sites while facilitating efficient and accurate concrete placement. In addition, the Z-boom’s resourceful design and component layout incorporates fewer bends for easier service, a smoother concrete flow through the line, a longer service life, and greater parts commonality.
Boasting a highly compact outrigger design, the 43Z features an outrigger spread of only 26' 1" (7.95m) in the front and 29' 6" (9.00m) in the rear. Hydraulically operated, the front outriggers diagonally telescope out, while the rear ones swing out for easy setup and operation no matter what the space restrictions. The unit is equipped with Putzmeister’s new OSS system as standard, which allows for a smaller outrigger footprint in a defined working envelope during operation.
All sections of the 43Z-Meter are equipped with five-inch delivery line for improved wear and optimum performance. In addition, the unit delivers both high pressure up to 1233-psi (85 bar) and high volume. Customers have the choice of a .16H or .20H pump cell, attaining 210 yd3/hr (160m3/hr) and 260 yd3/hr (200m3/hr) outputs, respectively.
Standard to all larger Putzmeister boom pump models, the 43Z-Meter features exclusive free flow hydraulics for smooth controllable pumping, fully proportional cable and radio remote controls for smooth boom positioning, and the Big Mouth S-Valve for pumping extremely harsh mixes.
Featuring a rugged pedestal, the 43Z-Meter is mounted on a fully loaded truck. Putzmeister includes a 400 hp engine, power divider lock-out, aluminum wheels and anti-lock brakes as standard on Mack trucks fitted with its equipment.
