CFA Foundation Technician Certification

The CFA Foundation Contractor Certification is a broad-based effort with requirements in many areas of business management and foundation construction. Successful completion of this general knowledge exam is one of the requirements to obtain certifi cation. Contact the CFA for full program details.

CERTIFICATION SEMINAR:

This 3-hour seminar does not teach the exam but provides detail to many of the key fundamental areas that are covered by the exam. One hour is devoted to the current codes and standards affecting the residential concrete foundation industry and two hours are devoted to the technical details of today’s residential foundations from concrete science to the construction process, including many critical details often overlooked such as waterproofing, backfilling and fi nished grade. In addition, complete information on the Certification Program and the full requirements will be presented.

CERTIFICATION EXAM:

The pre-qualification exam for becoming a CFA Certified Contractor consists of 80 multiple choice questions covered in a maximum two-hour period. The exam is open book and based from the Reference Package obtained through the CFA. 70% is the pass/fail rate to establish your prequalified status for the next steps towards becoming a Certified Contractor. It is important that you purchase and study the Reference Package ahead of this exam.
